Director: Kenny Ortega
Release Date: January 20, 2006 Yes, I watched High School Musical. I haven't watched this movie in about 5 years, and I forgot all about it. I was at KYA this weekend, and we had to do "mandatory fun time." The options for "mandatory fun time" was either watching a talent show or watching HSM. This movie is actually really relatable because it shows the struggles of being in high school like cliques, self esteem, and pressure from adults. I think Disney are absolute geniuses. Think about it, Disney has a formula for every single movie, but what makers HSM different are the catchy songs. I know all of the lyrics to the songs, and I didn't even know I knew all of the lyrics to the songs. Not only are they catchy songs, but they are also danceable songs. There are some lowkey tracking shots in "Get'cha Head in the Game," but it wasn't full on tracking shots. There were only a couple. Yeah, HSM is good, but I am only saying that because it's very nostalgic. I don't know if I would say it was really good if it just came out.
