Director: Jared Hess
Release Date: June 11th, 2004 It was my first time watching Napoleon Dynamite a couple weeks ago. Mr. C makes lots of references in psych from this movie, and I never really understood them. Now, I can say that I understand them. I can also understand the class of 2017's senior shirts "VOTE FOR PE17RO." There's not really a plot to this movie, but I was still entertained. It's stupid funny, and I think it would be even funnier if I was in 6th grade. This isn't the funniest movie in the world, but I think it's funny when I am in a silly mood. Something I really liked about this movie is the color palette: very pale, soft, vintage tones. The color palette helps with the setting of the movie. I also wonder if this movie was filmed with a film camera because there is a grainy effect. I would recommend this to someone who was in the mood to watch a goofy comedy with some friends. This would definitely a bad movie to watch by yourself.
